Is this still working? I tried it a zillion times, dropping it in different swing moments. But when I hold metal weapons on it nothing happens. Everybody else seems to get it 🙈

Well, this was a crazy day of Sword Trials for me! To break up some of the stress, I took it on this time in stages (storm section, fire section, ice section and guardian section), to give me time to settle my nerves between whiles, so I didn't make some nervous knee-jerk movement. That's what got me iced by that Wizrobe on Floor 15 last time! Still, I took your advice. I used ice on fire enemies, fire on ice enemies and I made much tactical use of my thunder blade to disarm and steal the weapons of the heavy foes! Got a little hairy on the fire talos though, because I ran out of ice arrows and had to just bite the bullet and take the damage... lucky I was cooking up those hearty meals! I made short work of the Lynels and most of the Guardians with my ancient arrows (or tried to get in close to strike the Guardians after stunning them with arrows). The only major setback in the last room came from the bokoblin cavalry, who mobbed me whilst I was banishing the Lynel... I ended up stun-locked for a while as they insanely kept riding over me even whilst I was ragdolling! (Strangely but luckily enough, in that state, I got mercy-invincibility until I was actually allowed to get up) I got my revenge though, once my bombs started decimating them, allowing me to grab a horse and a spear to even the score... then there was only the turret to take out to seal the deal.

our scales fell in the same spot, & I saw mine fall but didn’t know WHERE it fell. so I set up another fire to wait till morning again and as I was walking over to a higher peak, I saw my scale but was like “I just used another flint and wood so I’m getting something else!” I got a scale for the spring of power and a nail for- we’ll see! lol.

Thanks for the info. I just tested this. The Thunder Blade lasts one full Major Test of Strength shrine and then breaks after a few minutes on the second shrine so you would need a new Thunder Blade for every Major Test of Strength shrine.

I liked the other videos about the divine beasts but this one could benefit from the voice explanation

So lots of other folks have said this better than I but this is a great straight-forward video that has made farming Naydra so much easier than how I was trying to go about it. I enjoy all your BOTW videos and appreciate learning from a gamer much like myself-- 45 yr old woman who finally has had a chance to sit down and play this game recently after owning it for a few years. I didn't know that you could hold your shot and your arrow would light on fire as a result. That's so creative but I had no idea that you could do that.

Mounting him is so much easier because all you need to do is kill another lynel, take their bow and then get a headshot when they come over. I’m not sure if I fight lynels correctly because they aren’t really that hard to fight and honestly I still think moldulgas are harder but like yk

10:29 you don't need the stakes, you can just time RECALL to slow the rotation of the room give it enough time to expose light on the target.

3:00 The stone slabs are there for a reason. You can fuse them to a shield. This allows you to BLOCK THE FLAMES and strafe right by them without taking damage.

Whats annoying for me is that when Link dismounts the lynel, Link is always facing the opposite direction so when I go into bullet time i need to turn the camera around to face the Lynel head again which takes up most of the stamina.

Every lynel I'd encountered so far in this game has floored me, so I just adopted the tactic to run away instead 😂 Thanks to your advice I not only managed to kill my first one, but I didn't even break my weapon in the process. Such great tips and so clearly explained, thank you so much!

Miss playing my Breath of the Wild - and my Switch in-general, but at first those stupid training shrines got on my nerves yet once I figured out certain tricks to get around certain laser defenses, I managed to get 'em. Ahhhhhh, the memories ❤!!!!!!!!

IIRC, the shock arrows in all the trees on Ploymus Mountain around the red lynel also respawn. You can pick up at least 30 here, and you can even sneak around and avoid alerting the lynel if you want

This isn't about any video in particular, although I did search for this one and it was very helpful. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. You put so much work into them. The production is so good, your writing is so good and the way you defuse negative comments with your, "leave them down below" message shows how much experience and care you have as a teacher. I've had BOTW for years but hadn't really gotten hooked even though I've been playing since the original Nintendo version. Your friendly, informative videos taught me how to have fun and kept me company through the harder challenges. I love your calm voice, your humility and the way you make everyone feel welcome. It's not a great time in my life right now and being able to disappear into the game has made a big difference. I can't thank you enough for your wonderful tutorials but I hope you get a hint of how grateful I am from these words. Thank you.

You can also get white chuchu jelly by shooting chuchus with ice arrows. I found that out by shooting a fire one with ice arrows when all of my arrows burned on the volcano.

I love to parry when fighting lynels but the reason is not weapon durability, I just do it because it looks cool fighting with my sword and shield and I also mount the lynel because it looks cool lol 😆 Weapons are going to break anyway, if you don't want your weapons to break then don't use them at all 😎

This game is easily becoming my favorite aside from RDR2. I have around 1500 hours in RDR2 and getting close with BOTW. I play games to completion so I will be spending a good while on this.
